From the horse to the tractor and now to AI and IoT (Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things), agriculture technology has changed significantly in the last 150 years. AgWise is here to help farmers make the transition into this new, inevitable era of technology. AgWise founder, Jordon Masters, is a sixth-generation small farmer from West Virginia. Between Masters and his team, they have over 50 years in small farm and technology experience. Having a team comprised of small farmers lets AgWise truly know what the small farmer needs and more importantly, what they can afford.
By using inexpensive open source hardware with a robust software platform, AgWise has come up with solution they believe can tackle the small farmers ever growing needs at a price that will not break the bank. Like many other small farmers, the team at AgWise works a full-time job and runs a small farm. The team at AgWise work full-time jobs while running a small farm, but after looking at the current price points on the market by companies selling expensive hardware with limited software capabilities, they knew there had to be a better way. AgWise is devoted to developing a platform by the small farming community, for the small farming community.
